Manoj Gupta

Manoj Gupta is a seasoned clean energy, electric mobility, and infrastructure leader currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Ecofuel EV Charging Technologies, JBM Group, where he is spearheading the development of one of India’s most comprehensive EV charging ecosystems. With over three decades of experience across energy, telecommunications, digital infrastructure, and mobility, he has emerged as a key figure in India’s transition towards sustainable transportation and net-zero mobility solutions.

At Ecofuel, the electric vehicle charging arm of the JBM Group, Gupta leads the company’s strategic vision, business expansion, technology partnerships, and nationwide charging infrastructure deployment. His mission is to create a scalable, intelligent, and interoperable EV charging network that supports electric buses, passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, and public mobility systems. Under his leadership, Ecofuel has become an integral part of JBM’s end-to-end electric mobility ecosystem, integrating charging infrastructure, energy management, and digital technologies to accelerate India’s clean mobility ambitions.

Before assuming the role of CEO, Gupta served as Executive Vice President and Business Head at JBM Group, where he was instrumental in building the company’s electric mobility and energy transition business. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions with organizations including Cisco Systems, Huawei Technologies, GTL Infrastructure, Coslight India Telecom, and several technology and infrastructure companies, developing extensive expertise in strategic planning, business transformation, technology commercialization, and large-scale infrastructure deployment.

An engineering graduate from the Regional Engineering College (now NIT) Jalandhar, Gupta combines technical expertise with deep commercial insight. His leadership philosophy emphasizes ecosystem collaboration, innovation, and sustainable infrastructure development. He has actively championed partnerships with research institutions, utilities, technology providers, and government agencies to strengthen India’s EV charging ecosystem. Under his leadership, Ecofuel has entered strategic collaborations with organizations such as TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) and BSES Rajdhani Power Limited, promoting smart-grid integration, renewable energy-powered charging infrastructure, and next-generation charging solutions.

A recognized industry thought leader, Gupta is a frequent speaker at national and international forums on electric mobility, energy transition, and sustainable infrastructure. His insights on charging interoperability, grid readiness, green mobility, and future workforce development have positioned him as an influential voice shaping India’s evolving EV ecosystem.
