Dr. Inderjeet Singh is Partner – Climate Change and Sustainability at Deloitte India, and is widely recognized as one of India’s leading advisors in sustainability strategy, climate risk, decarbonization, and ESG transformation. With more than two decades of multidisciplinary experience across climate policy, environmental governance, energy transition, and sustainable business transformation, he has been at the forefront of helping organizations embed sustainability into core business strategy while navigating an increasingly complex regulatory and stakeholder environment. At Deloitte, he plays a pivotal role in leading climate and sustainability advisory across sectors including power, oil and gas, infrastructure, metals and mining, financial services, pharmaceuticals, and technology, enabling enterprises to align growth ambitions with long-term environmental and social value creation.

Academically accomplished with a PhD and international research exposure including post-doctoral work in Germany, Dr. Singh combines scientific rigor with strategic business insight. His professional expertise spans ESG strategy, climate change mitigation and adaptation, environmental health and safety, policy reforms, energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable resource utilization, supply chain optimization, product carbon footprinting, and climate finance. Over the course of his career, he has worked extensively with governments, multinational corporations, public institutions, and global development agencies across Asia, Europe, and Africa, including assignments with the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, IFC, UNDP, KfW, and GIZ.
At Deloitte, Dr. Singh is helping organizations translate climate commitments into measurable business outcomes through decarbonization roadmaps, transition risk management, carbon market strategies, operational efficiency, and sustainable investment frameworks. He has also contributed to national and global policy discourse as part of the G20/B20 task force on Energy, Climate, and Resource Efficiency, further strengthening his influence in shaping sustainability agendas beyond corporate boundaries.
